From October 14th 2011 we’ll be running a monthly Laser Tattoo Removal Clinic at Kevin Paul Tattoo Studio. It’s interesting how we came about to be running a clinic at such a well known tattoo artist in the UK circuit.
Normally we research an area that we’re looking to bring our specialist tattoo removal service before checking out a suitable premises for the task at hand. However out of the blue we got a call from Kevin specifically asking about the service we offer and if we could start delivering it from his studio in Derby. As it turns out, a customer of Sheffield Laser who was coming to us for laser tattoo removal was also a customer of Kevin Paul and in the process of getting a new tattoo sleeve from him.
Kevin had seen the excellent results our of laser tattoo removal work asked for our details. The rest… as they say… is history.

For those of you who have never heard of Kevin Paul and his amazing tattoo work then here is a quick bio for you:
The boss-man at his studios in Derby, Kevin Paul is not one to give much away about himself easily. We can tell you he’s got Bugs, Bob Tyrell and Paul Booth included in his list of heroes; He’s got a thing for HR. Giger, and he’s big on his Horror films. Literary interests? “Not a book fan – “I have a life.” Hmm. He’s done a World of Warcraft concept tattoo for a certain fanboy client, though. We do like our contradictions.
What’s undeniable and really quite straightforward, however, is that Kevin Paul is a damn good artist and his custom work is a couple levels above incredible as a general rule of thumb. It seems he’s made it his mission to build up a cornucopia of skill, dabbling in cover-ups, UV tattoos, colour work, and black and grey.
We’re finding personal favourites from his portfolio already – he’s done a mean batman tattoo in shiny electric blue tones on one client’s forearm that is wholly deserving of as much admiration as possible, and that’s even before we get to mentioning absolutely every other perfectly styled piece that caught our eye – glossy, photo realistic ravens, cartoonish weeping women, ‘tear away’ effect tattoos that seem to expose muscle, demons, cats, skulls and zombie-ish portraits.
In case we haven’t mentioned it enough, what best describes Kevin Paul is the term “all rounder” – or to be more accurate, “brilliant all rounder.” You’ll have to check him out, and his 2-D artwork too while you’re at it.
